This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What it uses instead
The light and dark switch has to remember what you picked, so it writes one value to
localStorage under the key theme. That is not a cookie: it is never attached to a request, so
no server ever sees it. It holds one of three words — system, light, dark — and nothing
else. Clear your site data and it is gone; the switch goes back to following your system setting.
What would change that
Two optional parts of this theme bring in another domain, and both are off unless the editor turns them on:
- Comments. A piece with comments loads a frame from giscus.app, which serves GitHub Discussions. GitHub may set cookies inside that frame under its own policy. Pages without comments load nothing from it.
- Analytics. If the editor connects an analytics provider, that provider’s terms apply. The two this theme supports are configured to count visits without following anyone between sites.
If either is switched on for this site, the privacy notice says so.
This notice describes the theme as it ships. Rewrite it to describe your site, and have a lawyer read it before you publish. It is a starting point, not legal advice.
